The Handmade Expo monthly markets are a favourite among the Ipswich community, and they are BACK in Tulmur Place from Saturday 15 February 2025!!! These February markets will be a celebration of Waitangi Day, and what better way to spend the day than at Nicholas Street Precinct celebrating all things cultural and New Zealand, with amazing Kai (food) to the Haka, Kapa Haka Poi dancing, amazing New Zealand and Māori merchandise, all topped with amazing tunes.
With over 100 stalls each month, you’ll be spoilt for choice at The Handmade Expo markets. With face-painting, balloon twisting and yard games, it is also a great hangout for kids. Nicholas Street Precinct restaurants are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, offering flavours from around the world, including authentic Australian, Vietnamese, Chinese, Japanese, and Mexican, plus there are sweet treats at Gelatissimo. While you are here, make an appointment an be pampered at Sofia Nails and Spa or Austhetica Oasis located in the Tulmur Walk, check out the beautiful dresses at Trottie Becke in their new location next to the News Agency, or stack up on your home medicine and first-aid needs at Terry White Chemmart. You can also drop into the public library and the dedicated Children’s Library.
